Individual, Family, and Group Counseling
We provide individual, group, and family counseling, as well as in-house psychiatry and psychology services to children ages 0-21.
Our counselors are trained in a variety of evidence-based trauma-focused therapies including TF-CBT, play therapy, motivational interviewing and Child Parent Psycho-therapy (CPP). Clinicians are trained in group modalities including SPARCS and Parenting Journey. Children and teens also attend art therapy sessions provided by interns.
Educational Advocacy and Tutoring
Staff help families manage school transitions and other educational issues that can arise when getting out of a dangerous situation, and refer clients to additional community resources. Volunteer tutors provide long-term, one-on-one academic support to students of all ages.
Childcare and Children’s Activity Groups
The Children’s Therapeutic Activities Room provides age appropriate art and play activities for children ages 1 year and older. We provide a variety of therapeutic activities to allow children to freely express themselves creatively as well as emotionally in a safe, nurturing environment.
We also offer daytime and after-school care for young clients while their mothers attend legal and counseling appointments and career trainings.
Parenting Support
Groups and workshops educate parents about the impact of gender violence on children and youth, teach effective parenting tools, and provide parents with a safe place to share emotions, experiences, and feel less alone.
