This year, we are thrilled to present the 2026 Zero Tolerance Award to Ida Hoghooghi, Senior Managing Director at Blackstone and member of Sanctuary’s Board of Directors.

INTRODUCING IDA

Ida Hoghooghi is a Senior Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Blackstone Credit and Insurance. As COO, she oversees strategic execution, business management, and fundraising across institutional, insurance, and individual investors, working closely with senior leadership to scale and strengthen the Blackstone’s private credit and insurance platforms. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Blackstone Charitable Foundation.

Prior to joining Blackstone in 2022, Ida spent nearly 17 years at Goldman Sachs in senior leadership roles spanning executive management, communications, investor relations, and legal. Most recently, she served as Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO and Secretary to the Management Committee. She previously was Chief Operating Officer of Corporate Communications, overseeing Media Relations, Internal Communications, and Brand and Content Strategy. Earlier, she served as a Managing Director in Investor Relations, leading corporate governance and rating agency engagement, and as Associate General Counsel in Corporate Governance Legal, advising on disclosure and governance matters. She began her career At Goldman Sachs in Investment Banking Legal, structuring and executing complex financing transactions.

Ida began her legal career as a corporate associate in the Paris and New York offices of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

A dedicated advocate for the advancement of women, Ida has supported Sanctuary for Families for more than a decade and joined its Board of Directors in 2017. She has held multiple leadership roles, including Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, Chair of the Governance Committee, and member of the Executive Committee. In these capacities, she has brought analytical rigor, strategic insight, and unwavering commitment to expanding critical resources for survivors of gender-based violence.

Ida earned a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University in 1997 and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 2000. She lives in New York City with her husband and two children.

Carrie Denning Jackson, 2026 Zero Tolerance Honoree

This year, we are thrilled to present the 2026 Zero Tolerance Award to Carrie Denning Jackson, Director of Innovation and Sustainability at Jamestown LP.

INTRODUCING CARRIE

Carrie Denning Jackson is Director of Innovation and Sustainability at Jamestown, where she leads efforts to integrate forward-looking strategies around sustainability, health, and innovation across the firm’s global real estate portfolio. Her work focuses on creating places that support human and environmental wellbeing while advancing long-term value.

Prior to joining Jamestown, Carrie served as a Director on the Development team at Sidewalk Labs, Google’s urban innovation company, where she worked at the intersection of technology, cities, and the built environment. Earlier in her career, she held roles at IBM’s Smarter Cities initiative and Google’s urban innovation team, building deep expertise in how design, data, and policy can shape healthier, more resilient communities.

Carrie is also the founder of Place as Medicine, an organization dedicated to elevating understanding of how the environments where people live, work, and learn affect physical, mental, and social health. Across more than fifteen years in the field, she has remained deeply committed to enhancing the environments in which people live, with a particular focus on access to nature, movement, and meaningful social connection.

Carrie has long been a dedicated supporter of Sanctuary for Families. A committed donor for many years, she has also raised funds on Sanctuary’s behalf by participating in the TD Five Boro Bike Tour, actively engaging her personal and professional networks and introducing Sanctuary to a new set of donors. She has also volunteered with Sanctuary’s Economic Empowerment Program, helping survivors strengthen their interview skills and refine their resumes. Her involvement reflects both her belief in Sanctuary’s mission and her broader commitment to creating safe, healthy environments in which individuals and families can thrive

Carrie serves on the boards of Governors Island Foundation, The Nature Conservancy–New York Chapter, PlanA Health, and trubel&co, and she advises Georgia Tech’s Master of Science in Urban Analytics program.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Master of Business Administration from Stanford University. Carrie lives in New York City with her husband and son.

Anita Kawatra, 2026 Zero Tolerance Honoree

This year, we are thrilled to present the 2026 Zero Tolerance Award to Anita Kawatra, Life Sciences Advisor and Vice President of Sanctuary’s Board of Directors.

INTRODUCING ANITA

Anita Kawatra is a biotechnology and pharmaceutical executive and advisor whose career reflects a sustained commitment to innovation, public health, and social impact.

Anita has advised life sciences CEOs, executive teams, and boards through high-impact milestones, including IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, regulatory approvals, product launches, and crisis management. Her professional experience spans executive leadership roles in biotechnology companies including Kallyope and Inheris Biopharma, an AI-driven bioanalytics startup, nference, and global pharmaceutical firms including Elan and Merck, as well as advisory work with multiple emerging companies. Across these roles, she has built and led functions including corporate affairs, communications, policy, investor relations, branding, stakeholder engagement, and human resources.

Anita has a longstanding commitment to public service and social impact. She currently serves on the boards of the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation, the nation’s largest public health system; GrowNYC, New York’s leading environmental nonprofit; and Sanctuary for Families, where she is Vice President of the Board. Her involvement with Sanctuary spans more than twenty-five years, including eighteen years of Board service. Since first joining the Board in 2003, she has played a sustained leadership role within the organization, most notably as co-chair of the Advocacy Committee and as co-chair of the Nominating Committee, helping to shape systems change strategy and strengthen Sanctuary’s advocacy for survivors and structural reform, while expanding the breadth of experience and perspective represented on the Board. She has also served on the Executive Committee and as a counselor on key strategic initiatives advancing Sanctuary’s mission and public voice, most recently advising on media strategy for the Feminist Justice Committee.

Earlier in her career, Anita held leadership positions in the administrations of New York City Mayor David N. Dinkins and New York State Governor Mario M. Cuomo, and she has been recognized as one of the 100 most influential Asian Americans in New York politics and policy.

Anita holds a master’s degree from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from Yale University. She is an adjunct professor in NYU’s graduate program in integrated marketing and communications. She lives in New York City with her husband and enjoys spending time with their two adult children.
