Every year, Sanctuary collects thousands of donated gifts and gift cards for the thousands of clients we serve. Please consider asking your friends, family, or coworkers to participate in a holiday drive to collect gift cards or other items for adults, teens or children. The deadline to deliver items collected through holiday drives is on or before Friday, December 6^th.

Sanctuary needs help sorting, organizing and wrapping the wonderful donations we receive. We will host Holiday Helpers Monday through Friday (10:30AM – 1:00PM and 2:00-4:30PM) from December 2^nd through December 19^th at our Lower Manhattan location.

Give/ask for the gift of Sanctuary: Unsure what gift to get for that special someone? Consider making a donation to Sanctuary in their honor. Throughout the holidays, all designees of an “in honor of” donation will receive a special acknowledgment card from Sanctuary. If someone asks you what you want for the holidays this year, ask for a donation to Sanctuary.

Food for the Holidays: Please consider a donation of non-perishable food items and/or a dedicated cash donation to help feed Sanctuary clients.

Make Sanctuary a part of your holiday party: November and December are popular months for festive gatherings. If you are hosting a party, please consider asking your guests to make a donation to Sanctuary in lieu of bringing that bottle of wine or box of chocolates.

Incorporate Sanctuary in your company’s year-end activities: Many corporations and law firms have year-end parties for their employees, often with gifts. Consider asking your company to designate a gift to Sanctuary for Families, participate in the Adopt-a-Family Program, or hold a holiday gift or gift card drive in lieu of employee gifts this year.

Send holiday e-cards to benefit Sanctuary: Many corporations, law firms and individuals send holiday wishes via e-cards. Consider this e-option and make a donation to Sanctuary with the money you save on cards and stamps.
