Sanctuary for Families provides shelter, counseling, legal representation, and economic empowerment services to survivors of gender violence. Our services are free and available to all survivors living in New York City, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, and marital or immigration status.
REBUILDING LIVES
We serve 8,500 survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking and related forms of gender violence every year.
EDUCATING OUR COMMUNITY
We increase awareness by providing outreach, education, and training to 12,000 concerned community members annually.
ADVOCATING FOR CHANGE
We advocate for policies and legislation that protect survivors and put an end to gender violence.
